HOW MANY SESSIONS OF LIP BLUSH DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE LOOK?

Most styles typically take 2 sessions to complete, but with more saturated or neutralization styles, 3-4 sessions is typical.

HOW LONG DOES LIP BLUSH LAST?

I allow 3 hours for a lip blush session. It typically takes 1 hour to prep and numb and then 1 -2 hours of tattooing.

SHOULD I EXPECT FADING?

Yes, final results can fade 30-50%. Thats why we build up pigment with multiple sessions.

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO REDO MY LIPS AFTER THE INITIAL SESSIONS?

2-4 years, but since it’s permanent makeup, you’ll still have residual pigment, but clients typically want a color boost after the 2 to 4 year mark.

WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?

Lips be sore for the first few days. You’ll be taking care of your lips for 10-12 days. The final result is visible after 6-8 weeks. Click here for aftercare.

HOW MUCH IS LIP BLUSHING?

The initial session is $500 +tax. Each 6-8 week touch up is $100 +tax

CAN YOU OVERLINE LIPS WHEN LIP BLUSHING?

NO! Lip skin is different than facial skin so pigment takes differently and the healed results will not heal well and will fade unevenly.

CAN LIP BLUSHING MAKE YOUR LIPS LOOK BIGGER?

Yes. Although we can’t overline our lips, our lips typically lose pigment 1-2mm away from our actual lip line, so lip blushing can allow our lips to look fuller by giving color to the lip line that naturally lacks color.

WILL MY LIPS STAND OUT IF I DONT WEAR MAKEUP?

No, my goal, regardless of the style we go with, is that every result looks natural and compliments your features. Once lips are healed, they are the perfect base if you want to create a more filled in look with makeup for a night out or event.

DO YOU MAP AND PRE DRAW?

Yes! Every lip I create is mapped per the client’s natural lip structure. I will pre-draw the lip outline, helping you visualize the end result. You will always approve the lip shape before we begin.

CAN YOU HELP ME DETERMINE THE BEST STYLE FOR ME?

Of course! If you don’t know what style is best for you, you can always reach out and book a complimentary consultation. Show me or explain to me what you are hoping to accomplish and we will determine together the best style for you.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE COLOR?

We decide together. I consider your skin tone, along with the target color and color theory to pick the best color for beautiful long-term results.

DO YOU DO CONSULTATIONS?

Yes, I do complimentary consults as 15-minute sessions, allowing you to ask any questions you have. I also offer text, call, and FaceTime consults. If you have previous work done, it is best to come in person for your consultation so I can if I can go over the work or if I suggest laser first.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • No consumption of alcohol or caffeine within 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Have had peels/laser/microneedling/tinting/any chemicals within the past four weeks.

  • No retinol for 14 days prior

  • Taking immunosuppression medication/have been diagnosed with an immune disorder. (Get a doctor’s note)

  • Have any active infection.

  • Commonly sun tan

  • Have taken antibiotics in the past 30 days

  • Have an upcoming surgery within 4 weeks.

  • Taking blood thinning medication or substances (Get a doctors note if proscribed by doctor)

  • No caffeine or alcohol the night and morning before procedure

  • Taking krill oil/fish oil must stop 3 weeks prior

  • You keloid scare

  • Have taken accutane in the past year

  • If you get cold sores, take your medication to not get an outbreak

  • Have had botox/filler injections around within 3 weeks of procedure

CONTRAINDICATIONS

DO YOU TAKE CLIENTS THAT HAVE PREVIOUS COSMETIC TATTOO WORK DONE?

Yes, but the pigment needs to be faded enough for me to go over the work. I require consultations for anyone that has previous work done so I can help advice you the best steps to get you to your lip goals. If you have too much pigment still in your lips or we want to change the shape, I will suggest laser sessions to remove the pigment before you come in for your first sessions with me.

ARE COSMETIC TATTOOS PERMANENT?

Yes. They are permanent, but they do fade. You’ll be ready for a refresher after 2+ years, but you’ll still have residual pigment.

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHEN ITS TIME FOR A REFRESHER?

As an artist, I like to let lips fade as much as possible before a refresher session after a few years to keep lips looking natural. We don’t want to oversaturate the lips with pigment, which can lead to a too bold or filled-in look. My goal is to keep your lips looking natural and fresh 10+ years down the line.
